Includes sections that describe enhancements and fixes for the latest Long-term Support (LTS) releases of Data360 DQ+.
Release: 14.1
Date: 12 June 2026
AI-assisted DQ expression and JavaScript generation
The AI assistant has been extended to support natural language generation of Data360 DQ+ expressions in addition to JavaScript code. You can now describe the data quality logic you need in plain English and let the AI generate the corresponding Data360 DQ+ expression or JavaScript code automatically.
The AI assistant is available in the following contexts:
- Data360 DQ+ expression editors — Generate Data360 DQ+ expressions for rule conditions, filters, and computed field definitions using natural language prompts. For details, see Generating expressions using AI.
- JavaScript editors — Generate JavaScript code in analysis script nodes, REST API response paging scripts, case store screen scripts, rule library script rules, process model script tasks, and data store transform scripts. For details, see Generating JavaScript using AI.
This NLP-powered integration reduces the time and expertise needed to author complex expressions and scripts, enabling analysts and non-developer users to build data quality logic without deep knowledge of Data360 DQ+ expression syntax.
MCP server and AI assistant capabilities
Data360 DQ+ now includes a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that enables AI assistants such as Claude to interact directly with your Data360 DQ+ environment using natural language. The MCP server exposes Data360 DQ+ capabilities as tools that AI assistants can discover and invoke, allowing users to query data, retrieve case information, and explore analysis pipelines without opening any dashboard.
You can enable the MCP Server for your Data360 DQ+ instance through the API Settings.
For details, see MCP Server for Data360 DQ+.
The following use cases are supported in this release:
Case queue management and SLA monitoring
You can query your assigned case queue in plain English through an AI assistant. Ask how many cases are assigned to you, how many have crossed the 8-day SLA threshold, and which cases need immediate action or escalation — all without opening any dashboard.
This capability eliminates manual dashboard navigation for day-to-day case management tasks and is designed for Data Stewards and Analysts who need instant visibility into their workload and SLA compliance status.
Analysis explanation for non-technical stakeholders
Ask the AI assistant to explain any Data360 DQ+ analysis pipeline in plain English. You receive a step-by-step breakdown of what the analysis does, what data it uses, and what it outputs — no pipeline expertise required.
This capability is ideal for onboarding new team members, producing pipeline documentation, and conducting stakeholder reviews. It replaces time-consuming manual pipeline review sessions and is designed for Business Analysts and Product Owners.
Audit trail and user engagement tracking
Query the Data360 DQ+ audit trail using natural language to get a structured comparison of user activity across case stores. Understand who is doing what, how often, and what engagement patterns look like — in seconds, without custom reporting.
This capability delivers instant activity reporting without the need for custom queries and is designed for Data360 DQ+ Administrators who need to monitor user engagement and activity patterns across the platform.
Audit trail enhancements
System audit trail recording has been significantly expanded to capture more user actions and provide comprehensive visibility into system activities. User actions are now recorded to both the audit trail and relevant data store and case store history records.
The audit trail now tracks the following additional user actions in case management and data entry screens:
- Search operations
- View actions
- Create operations
- Update operations
- Delete operations
- Bulk update operations
- Bulk delete operations
Auto-rerun for externally terminated executions
The automatic re-run capability has been extended to support re-running executions that were terminated externally (not by user action). This enhancement allows the system to recover from unexpected terminations and continue processing without manual intervention.
When an execution is terminated by external factors such as system failures or resource constraints, the system can now automatically re-run the execution based on your configured retry settings. This reduces manual recovery efforts and improves overall system resilience.
Result detail information extensions are now properly applied to terminated executions, ensuring that execution metadata and diagnostic information are captured and available for analysis even when executions are terminated.
GraphQL API enhancements for analysis diagrams
A new GraphQL API has been introduced that returns structured information about analysis diagrams, including diagram layout, nodes, and configuration details. This API enables programmatic access to analysis structure and metadata.
The new API provides comprehensive information about:
- Analysis diagram structure and layout
- Node definitions and configurations
- Node connections and data flow
- Analysis metadata and properties
This enhancement enables integration with external tools and systems that need to understand or visualize analysis structures programmatically.
OAuth2 JWT audience claim validation
OAuth2 JWT (JSON Web Token) audience claim validation has been tightened to improve security. The system now performs stricter validation of the audience claim in JWT tokens to ensure that tokens are used only for their intended audience.
This security enhancement prevents token misuse and ensures that authentication tokens cannot be used across different services or applications without proper authorization. The validation is performed automatically during token processing and requires no additional configuration.
Admin screen migrations to Angular
Several administration screens have been migrated to the Angular framework to provide improved performance, consistency, and user experience. The following screens have been updated:
- Admin | Report > Permissions Report - Provides a comprehensive view of user and group permissions across the system
- Admin | Retention Executions - Manages execution retention policies and cleanup operations
- Admin | Users - Manages user accounts, roles, and access controls
These migrated screens maintain all existing functionality while providing a more responsive and consistent interface aligned with the rest of the platform.
Expression editor grammar enhancements
The expression editor grammar has been enhanced to support both inline and multi-line comment styles, matching the capabilities available in the backend grammar. This improvement provides greater flexibility when documenting expressions and code.
You can now use either inline comments (single-line) or multi-line comments in expression editors throughout the platform, enabling better code documentation and readability in complex expressions. For details, see Using comments in expressions.
S3 Iceberg and Athena support with assumed-role authentication
Support has been added for customer access to S3 Iceberg data through Amazon Athena using assumed-role authentication. This enhancement enables secure, role-based access to Iceberg tables stored in S3 without requiring long-term credentials.
With assumed-role authentication, you can:
- Access S3 Iceberg tables through Athena using temporary security credentials
- Leverage AWS IAM roles for fine-grained access control
- Improve security by eliminating the need for long-term access keys
- Simplify credential management and rotation
This enhancement provides a more secure and scalable approach to accessing data lake resources in AWS environments.
Other changes
The following improvements have been made to enhance system stability and user experience:
- Improved handling of large download and log productions to prevent performance degradation and resource exhaustion
- Enhanced cleanup procedures for large data sets to ensure efficient resource management
Corrected issues
| Issue Summary | Issue Number |
|---|---|
| Resolved an issue where navigation link customizations in the Branding settings were not taking effect on certain screens. | ISX-24092 |
| Resolved an issue where selecting an item in a list or table did not highlight the row consistently on the left-hand navigation panels within the Admin > Settings and Environments screens. | ISX-24075 |
| Persist user ID of the user who requested termination in the result detail of execution history. Persist external termination cause if execution was terminated externally such as via Terminate cluster. | ISX-24056 |
| Fixed an issue where the generated execution log file was not deleted after user download completes, and the execution logs for the first job for shared dedicated cluster profile is cluster scoped, instead of specific to that job. | ISX-23991 |
| Fixed a bug where users could not re-authenticate via the login dialog after a session timed out. | ISX-23988 |
| Fixed an issue where changing an existing Co-Group node in an Analysis by adding new computed columns to the sheet may fail to successfully apply the change. Similar problems could also occur for nodes Group, Recon, Detect Entities, Detect Medical Entities, Profile Data, Profile Data Legacy, and JavaScript. | ISX-23986 |
