Use the Configure System Replication (CFGSYSREP) command to create an initial best-practice configuration for replicating system information in a two-system MIMIX instance.
- An application group named DEFAULT
- Three resource groups and data groups: WRKMGT, WRKSSD, and WRKSSI.
- QGPL library contents
- Authorization lists (*AUTL)
- Classes (*CLS)
- Printer devices (*DEVD) for *PRTLAN and *PRTVRT
- Job descriptions (*JOBD)
- Job queues (*JOBQ)
- Message queues (*MSGQ)
- Output queues (*OUTQ)
- Subsystem descriptions (*SBSD)
- User profiles (*USRPRF)
- Selected system settings and system values
CFGSYSREP supports the following installation scenarios:
-
Installation Wizard two-node new installation: When you use the Installation Wizard to create a new two-node MIMIX instance, you can select the option to configure system replication if you select the option to start MIMIX. If you select this option, the Installation Wizard runs the CFGSYSREP command as part of the installation process.
-
Manual execution: You can manually run the CFGSYSREP command for a two-node MIMIX instance after you have established system definitions and port assignments and started the system managers. No data groups can already exist when you run the command. If you run CFGSYSREP interactively, MIMIX displays a confirmation panel. You must accept the confirmation before the command creates any configuration.
- Resolving any duplicate replication coverage with other MIMIX instances.
- Reviewing and adjusting data group object entries as needed for your environment.
