The installation of Assure QuickEDD HA requires only a few minutes. Here is an
overview of the process:- Download the Assure QuickEDD HA and tools releases. The current releases are available from Precisely Support
- Send the downloaded file from your PC to the IBM i. Using FTP, the PC file must be sent to a save file on the IBM i systems.
- Restore objects. Restore the objects in a dedicated library.
- Create objects required for your environment. A command creates library PMEDHUSR and a small number of objects required for replication (a job description, subsystem description, job queue, etc.).
- Create a communication profile. A dedicated profile must be created with all special authorities.
- Adapt TCP/IP attributes. If necessary, adapt TCP/IP attributes to use a special port.
- Install tools library. Restore the tools library which contains helpful utilities.
