The First Quarter 2025 International Postal Database contains updated country data. For a complete list of countries and the level at which the database recognizes countries, see Country Levels.

Note: Although the First Quarter 2025 database is compatible with the previous CODE-1 Plus International 1.8.4 software versions, it is highly recommended that you install the CODE-1 Plus International 1.8.5 software to benefit from the enhancements included in the 1.8.5 release. The CODE-1 Plus International 1.8.5 software release contains enhancements that improve address matching for all countries. For information about installing the First Quarter 2025 International Postal Database, see the installation instructions for your respective platform.

Saudi Arabia: New dataset at premises level

The 2025.1 release of the Universal POST*CODE DataBase provides a new dataset for Saudi Arabia, containing street names and house numbers.

Saudi Arabia uses two postcode systems, depending on the type of delivery:

  • Coding method for home delivery: 5 digits above the locality name:
    • One digit: postal region
    • One digit: sector
    • One digit: branch
    • One digit: section
    • One digit: block
  • Coding method for PO Box delivery: 5 digits above the locality name.
    • Two digits: postal zone
    • Three digits: delivery point
Saudi coding system.

For more information about Saudi Arabia's postcode and addressing system, see http://www.upu.int/UPU/media/upu/PostalEntitiesFiles/addressingUnit/sauEn.pdf.
