The Ironstream Data Model for IBM i and associated files are packaged and supplied as a typical Splunk technology add-on (TA).
Sign in to Splunk as an administrative user then follow these steps to install the data model:
On the Splunk home page, click the Manage Apps cogwheel (top left, above the list of current apps).
On the Apps page, click Install app from file.
Click Browse or Choose File on the Upload app dialog.
Locate and select the downloaded Ironstream_Data_Model_for_IBM_i.tar.gz file and click Open.
Leave the upgrade app option unchecked.
Click Upload. The data model and its associated components will be installed into Splunk.
The installation file will be processed. You may be prompted to restart Splunk.
