Ironstream for Microfocus OMi for IBM i 7.0 provides support for Micro Focus Operations Manager i (OMi)

9.0 and above. This version is based on version 6.3 with all software patches. Note these changes from earlier versions of Ironstream required to support and integrate with OMU 9.0:

  1. Motif related features of Ironstream are no longer available due to the removal of Motif support from OMU. This includes the following features:

    1. The mapping application that provides a hierarchical map of IBM i resources such as lines, controllers and devices is no longer available.

    2. The X-Windows IBM i command interface has been removed.

  2. The vp400elli process which handles automatic and operator-initiated actions and Java management interface requests is no longer started by the ovstart command which does not exist in OMU 9.0. The vp400elli process is now registered with the ovc process for starting and stopping.
