MLD version compatibility
This release of Canada Address Fabric™ data is compatible with the 2024.12.0 Master Location Data (MLD).
New in this release
No new features are introduced in this release.
Changes in this release
- Approximately 110,000 bad and duplicate addresses have been removed from the product.
Known issues
The following issues are currently under investigation.
- L3REQ-70320: Missing address points on Street Rue Des Campanules in Quebec and Levis cities.

PBAB-4157: Multiple Street name representation for Highway 7, TEULON MB. A process is being developed to update to preferred street names from the Postal Service.

PBAB-1053: PreciselyID is changed for 639 addresses as compared to the previous release.

PBAB-857: Addresses have been identified with a low precision geocode (FSA centroid), creating invalid stacked point locations. We continue to fix or remove addresses that are stacked or inaccurate.

PBAB-2667/PBAB-3425: Inconsistent Street and City names compared to the previous releases.

PBAB-4139: Correct city names with incorrect LDU assignment. For example, incorrect postal codes for LIBAU. MB, the Postal Code S0H 0S0 for 5619 addresses. We continue to investigate to improve the LDU assignment logic.

PBAB-4483: Address components such as ADD_NUMBER, CITY, or FSA may differ from their respective CHILD or PARENT address for genealogy relationships.
- L3REQ-63806: Long distance between PARENT and CHILD locations. The number of PARENT PBKEYs affected is reduced from 49 to 64.

PBAB-4751: There are around 211 identified units that are incorrectly getting deleted in the de-duplication process.
PBAB-3424: 818 secondary addresses do not have a parent PreciselyID.
Fixed issues
The following issue is fixed in this release:
- L3REQ-67880: Inconsistency in the spelling of ST. JOHN'S city in NL has been fixed now.
Future updates
Canada Address Fabric™ move to Global Schema
The Canada Address Fabric™ will move to the new Global Address Fabric™ data schema for the May 2025 release. This is a major breaking change. Refer to the December 2024 Precisely Knowledge Communities.
Note that if you are not ready to accept this change in May, you can continue to use the version of data that you until such time you are ready to move to the new format. The last release of the Canada Address Fabric™ in the current data schema format will be the February 2025 release.
