The Work The Work with Product Authority (WRKPRDAUT) command in the License Manager is a tool for managing Product level security (PLS) for installed Precisely products. For more information on product level security.

This command enables you to display the product level security information, and allows you to subset for an instance library, user profile, and product. With WRKPRDAUT, you can:
  • Grant or revoke product level security
  • View detailed product level security entries

To manage product level security using the WRKPRDAUT command, do the following:

  1. From License Manager Main Menu, type 10 (Work with product authority) and press Enter. The prompted WRKPRDAUT command appears,

  2. Specify any desired subset criteria and press Enter.

  3. The Work with Product Authority display appears, allowing you to manage security settings for products and user profiles.

  4. When working with product level security, the following details are displayed:
    • Library: Identifies the library associated with the PLS entry.
    • User profile: Specifies the user profile for the PLS entry.
    • Product: Specifies the product for the PLS entry.
      Note: All individual products of a MIMIX instance are combined into a single *MIMIX value.
    • Authority Level: Indicates the level of PLS granted to the user profile for the product instance library.
      • *ADM: Administrator (*ADM) product level security
      • *MGT: Management (*MGT) product level security
      • *OPR: Operator (*OPR) product level security
      • *DSP: Display (*DSP) product level security
      • *EXCL: Exclude (*EXCL) all access rights to the product
      • MIXED: Different product level security across individual products within the instance library
        Note: When the authority level is MIXED, you can use:
        • Option 5= Display product authority to view the product level security entries for individual products in the instance library.
        • Option 1=Grant product authority to set the same value for all products and features within a MIMIX instance for a specific user by specifying Product *ALL in the GRTPRDAUT command.

11=Work with user profile Work with the specified user profile using the Work with User Profiles (WRKUSRPRF) command.
