Use the Prepare User Database dialog to prepare a user’s schema for modeling and replication. This will grant access rights to the replication user to access the database for modeling and replication. Whenever you drop and recreate a table or create a new table which will be used for replication, you must rerun the Prepare User Database command, against the schema in which the table was created.

  1. Right-click the server, then select Prepare User Database from the context menu of the server.
  2. Enter the individual user database or schema name in the Database/Schema Name dialog.

  3. Click OK.
  4. Enter the DBMS Administrator userid and password in the User ID and Password dialog.

  5. Click OK.

A summary of the steps that Connect CDC Director takes to prepare the database displays.

  6. Click OK.

You see a screen with the commands running and then a message that the process is complete.

  7. Click OK.
