Use this dialog to remove a copy of the metabase on an IBM I machine.

The Connect CDC Director sends SQL to the sending server host machine to delete the metabase files and only the metabase files. The product library that contains the metabase and the journal to which the metabase is assigned are not affected.

To remove the metabase

  1. Make sure the user on the connection to the sending server is authorized to delete the metabase tables. If this is not the same connection used to create the metabase, authorization may be a problem.

  2. Select Remove Metabase from the context menu of your IBM i source.

  3. Review the text displayed in the Remove Metabase dialog.

  4. Click OK.

What happens

  • Removes all tables from the metabase (Product) library.

  • Does not remove the metabase library.

  • Does not remove log or configuration files.

  • Does not remove replication user ID.
