Location Intelligence SDK for Big Data is supported and verified on the following cloud platforms:
- EMR 5.30+ to 7.2.0 (latest till date)
- Databricks Runtime 9.1+ to 15.4 LTS (latest till date)
Note: Starting from this release, we will no longer provide support for Cloudera and Hortonworks
platforms.
To use the product, you must be familiar with configuring EMR or Databricks and developing applications for distributed processing.

The following additional tools must be available to use certain product features:
For Spark Notebook:
- Java JDK version 11+
- Spark version 3.0+
Memory Requirements
- The amount of memory required depends on the deployment scenario implemented. The basic memory requirement for the Location Intelligence SDK for Big Data is 16 GB RAM. We recommend 32 GB RAM.
- If you are using a large number of datasets (more than 20), review your minimum heap size setting. Consider increasing it to at least 8 GB to prevent out of memory exception errors.
