Simple examples illustrating the syntax of each of the MFX control statements are included in this chapter. More complex applications are presented in How to Use the MFX Data Utility Features. These applications demonstrate how the INCLUDE/OMIT, INREC, JOIN, JOINKEYS, OUTFIL, OUTREC, REFORMAT, and SUM control statements can be used to accomplish a variety of tasks, such as selecting input records, selecting input fields, joining records with matching keys, combining records, reformatting output records, writing reports, and creating multiple output.
