The Work with License Keys display provides information about license keys on the local system with options to display a key’s details and change a key’s warning message criteria. For products whose instances span multiples systems, such as MIMIX, license keys for the local system and all other systems associated with instances installed on the local system are displayed.
Function keys provide access to commands that invoke the process of requesting and updating licenses or invoke parts of that process, such as to the system information needed to create a license key request (LRP) or applying keys received in a license key package (LKP), and that update the license summary within License Manager on a system that has had a hardware upgrade.
To access the display, do the following:
Type LAKEVIEW/WRKLICKEY
and press Enter.
The license keys displayed are sorted by their expiration date and maintenance expiration date statuses, then by Serial-LPAR, system, and product. Statuses are indicated by characters that precede a date and are affected by the messaging criteria set for the license key. Statuses are as follows:
-
x = The date has past. The license key or the maintenance contract associated with it expired.
-
! = The license key or its maintenance contract is nearing its expiration date and is within the number of days for issuing warning messages for the license key.
When a dash (–) appears in the Expiration Date column, the license key has no expiration date.
