When License Manager does not exist on a system where you plan to install a product using 5250 emulator install processes, you need to download the Install Precisely Product (INSPRD) stream file. The stream file contains the INSPRD command and other programs necessary to enable install processing. If you need this tool, the installation processes in this book will prompt you to download the INSPRD stream file and use its contents (the INSPRD command) to perform the initial install of License Manager. After License Manager is on the system, you will be prompted to use the INSPRD command from the LAKEVIEW library to perform the product software installation.

If you are performing a new install using the product’s installation wizard (recommended), you do not need to download the stream file or use the INSPRD command.

Download the INSPRD streamfile (STMF) from Support and transfer it to your system. For new installations of Assure iTERA, your services representative does this for you.
