Assure MIMIX for AIX supports media management products such as Tivoli Storage Manager on AIX platforms.
You can have additional data protection by keeping complete copies of the data on archive media such as tape. To create copies on the archive media use snapshots from the recovery server.
Archived copies of the data are useful to:

Perform a production restore on the production server. You may want to do this if the data on the recovery server is unavailable or if you need to rollback to a point in the data that is no longer stored on the recovery server.

Create a snapshot on the recovery server. You may want to do this if you need to restore the data on the recovery server or if you want additional copies of the data for data mining.

Create additional copies of the data on alternate devices, such as, logical volumes.
