An Assure MIMIX for AIX File Container is a generic term used to describe the storage object that the Assure MIMIX for AIX Context needs to function correctly. While there are different specialized types of File Containers, the most commonly discussed and most necessary to understand is the Log File Container (LFC). A LFC is the logical unit of data movement around the system. When an LFC is filled with data writes on the production server it is fully transferred to the recovery server.
