  1. Identify the Machine ID/Host ID number. From a UNIX prompt, issue the command:

  1. Mount the CD

  2. Run bin/AIX/machine_id.bin

  3. Check the Precisely Support web page https://support.precisely.com/ for the email address for your geographical location in the Contact Us information displayed when you have signed into the Support website. Send the following information in email to Precisely Fulfillment:

    • Company Name

    • Product(s) for which you are requesting a license

    • Machine ID

    • Operating system

    • Operating system version

    • Node name (hostname)

    A license file is generated, attached to an email, and sent back to you.

  4. Save the license file in a location of your choice.
