To work with snapshots and rollbacks, on the MIMIX Main Menu move the cursor to Snapshots/Rollbacks and press enter. The Snapshots/Rollbacks menu appears.
Create a Snapshot by Time
- Move the cursor to Create a Snapshot by Time and press enter.
Select a replication group to create the snapshot from the resulting Select Replication Group panel, and press enter.
- Select a node to create a snapshot on from the resulting Select Recovery Node panel and press enter.
- On the resulting Create a Snapshot by Time menu, select the Date,
Time, and Available Rollback Windows Note: The Available Rollback Windows exists just to display the time at which the replica can be rolled back.
- Normal - Snapshot processes create a regular snapshot.
- Failover - Snapshot processes rollback a replica in time and prepare the replica for future Failover operation. It should be followed by Failover operation.
After selecting the mode, press enter. The request to create the snapshot by time is submitted.
Create a Snapshot by LFC number
To extend a journal snapshot,
To create a snapshot by LFC number
- Move the cursor to Create a Snapshot by LFC Number and press enter.

Select a replication group to extend from the resulting Select Replication Group panel and press enter.
- Select a node to create a snapshot on from the resulting Select Recovery Node panel and press enter
- Select the LFC number, and Available Rollback Windows from the resulting Create a
Snapshot by LFC Number menu. Note: The Available Rollback Windows exists just to display the time at which the replica can be rolled back.
- Normal - Snapshot processes create a regular snapshot.
- Failover - Snapshot processes rollback a replica in time and prepare the replica for future Failover operation. It should be followed by Failover operation.
After selecting the mode, press enter. The request to create the snapshot by time is submitted.
Create Event Marker
To create an Event Marker,
- Move the cursor to Create Event Marker and press Enter.
- On the resulting Select Replication Group panel, select a replication group to create an Event Marker on.
- On the resulting Create Event Marker panel, press enter to submit the request. The request to create the event marker is submitted.
Create a Snapshot by Event Marker
To create a snapshot by an Event Marker,
- Move the cursor to Create a Snapshot by Event Marker and press enter.
- On the resulting Select Replication Group panel, select a replication group to create a Snapshot for.
- Select a node to create a snapshot on from the resulting Select Recovery Node panel and press enter.
- On the resulting Create a Snapshot By Event Marker panel, select the Event Marker from Available Event Markers and select the mode:
- Normal-Snapshot processes create a regular snapshot.
- Failover-Snapshot processes rollback a replica in time and prepare the replica for future Failover operation. It should be followed by Failover operation.
After selecting the mode, press enter. The request to create the snapshot is submitted.
Remove a Snapshot
To remove a snapshot,
- Move the cursor to Remove a Snapshot and press enter.

On the resulting Select Replication Group panel, select a replication group to remove the snapshot for and press enter.

Select a replication group to remove the snapshot from the resulting Select Replication Group panel and press enter.
- Select a node to remove a snapshot from the resulting Select Recovery Node panel and press enter.
- On the resulting Remove a Snapshot menu, press enter to submit the request. The request to remove the snapshot is submitted.
Rollback by Time
To rollback by time,
- Move the cursor to Rollback by Time and press enter.

Select a replication group to rollback from the resulting Select Replication Group panel, and press enter.
- Select a node to rollback on from the resulting Select Recovery Node panel and press enter.

Select the Available Rollback Windows, Date and Time from the resulting Rollback by Time menu, and press enter. The request to create the rollback is submitted.Note: The Available Rollback Windows exists just to display the time at which the replica can be rolled back.
