The OGC Web Feature Service (WFS), Web Mapping Service (WMS), and Web Map Tiling Service (WMTS) standards do not define a security model, however the Spectrum Technology Platform OGC services do provide mechanisms of specifying users and passwords using HTTP Basic authentication.
If you wish to offer WFS, WMS, or WMTS services that do not use authentication, turn off authentication for REST services at the platform level. See Disabling Authentication for Web Services in the Administration section for instructions. Be aware that disabling authentication for REST services disables it for all REST services, not only OGC services.
By default all OGC services are exposed through HTTP endpoints. When HTTPS is enabled on Spectrum server, the Service URL in the service settings page in Spectrum Spatial Manager has to be updated manually before using the services.”
