The Map Tiling REST Interface is a web RESTful interface for quickly accessing the Map Tiling Service from within your web applications. The Map Tiling Service generates map tiles that can be combined to form larger map images. These tiles can be cached by the service or by other web caching solutions to reduce the waiting times as users view, pan, and zoom maps.
The Map Tiling Service provides functionality for clients to determine the maps that are available, the ability to query the metadata of each map, and return a map comprised of tiles.
