Field | Description |
---|---|
Title | A display name for the WMS layer. |
Keywords | Words or phrases that describe your WMS layer. This information can be used by GetCapabilities. |
Abstract | A description of the WMS layer. Edit the Abstract to describe what type of features or content the layer provides. This information can be used by GetCapabilities. |
GetMap |
If enabled, then you may specify a name on this layer. This allows you to reference this layer in a GetMap or GetFeatureInfo request. |
Name | The name of the layer that WMS uses in the GetMap request. If the layer is only listed for organizational purposes then no name is needed. |
Override bounding box | If absolutely necessary, you can override the calculated values for the layer by entering different minimum and maximum values for X (longitude) and Y (latitude). |
GetFeatureInfo | GetFeatureInfo returns request information for a feature at a given point on the map after a GetMap has been called. If enabled, the server supports the GetFeatureInfo operation on that layer. This will be grayed out and uneditable if GetFeatureInfo is disabled on the WMS Settings page. |
Pixel Search Radius | The pixel value used in a GetFeatureInfo request to search for information, if GetFeatureInfo is enabled. This can also be set at the WMS layer level, in a request using the parameter PIXELSEARCHRADIUS, or both. If specified in both the layer and service levels, the layer level value will override the service level value. If specified in the request, it overrides both the layer and service level values. If not specified at either the service or layer level or in the request, the value will default to what is set in the global settings on the WMS Settings page. |
