Organizational layers, which resemble folders, help you mange your WMS configuration
and resources by creating a hierarchy of WMS layers. The folder structure in the sample
configuration file demonstrates the use of organizational layers; for example, that you
can have can have coordinate systems on organizational layers so that children will
inherit them.
To add or edit a WMS organizational layer:

From the layer tree, click the Add Organizational Layer button
located above the layer tree to add an organizational
layer (folder) or click on a folder in the tree to view its details on the
right.

Edit the following fields as needed:
- Title
- Name for the organizational layer.
- Abstract
- A description of the organizational layer. This information can be used by GetCapabilities.
- Keywords
- Words or phrases that describe your organizational layer. This information can be used by GetCapabilities.
- Coordinate Systems
- List of the coordinate systems used by the organizational layer. Hover
over the inheritance symbol (
) if
applicable to see what parent layer the coordinate system was
inherited from. Click Add to add a coordinate
system then click 
to browse for one, or click 
to delete one that is not inherited. - Styles
- List of available styles for this layer. Any number of styles may be
defined for a layer. Each style must have a name, title, and
reference style. Styles are inherited from the layers above it.
Hover over the inheritance symbol () if
applicable to see what parent layer the style was inherited from.
Click Add to add a style or to delete one that is not inherited.
- Resource Name: The absolute path of the named style
within the repository root that the style points to. All
resource paths must start with a slash (/) character. For new or
editable styles, click to browse for a named style.
- Title: Human-readable name for your WMS style.
- Name: The name of the style that WMS uses in the GetMap request. If the style is only listed for organizational purposes then no name is needed.
- Abstract: A description of the named style. Edit the Abstract to describe what type of features or content the style provides.
- Resource Name: The absolute path of the named style
within the repository root that the style points to. All
resource paths must start with a slash (/) character. For new or
