Manage Spectrum Spatial Analyst map projects in Spectrum Spatial Manager where you can create, edit, and delete map project properties.

Spectrum Spatial Manager has a Project Properties tab for the administrator (admin) who is setting up a map project. A map project defines what maps to display and which settings to use to display them within Spectrum Spatial Analyst. For details, see Project Properties in the Spectrum Spatial Manager documentation.

Note: This functionality is available only to the administrator. You must sign-in to Spectrum Spatial Analyst to work on map projects.

Enabling Accented Character Support in Map Project Names

By default, international and accented characters (such as ä, ö, é) are not supported in map project names in Spectrum Spatial Analyst. You can explicitly enable support for these characters by updating the shared.properties configuration file.

To update the Spectrum Spatial Analyst shared.properties file, follow the steps below:

  1. Stop Precisely AnalystConnect service.
  2. Open the shared.properties file in a text editor. This file is in the following folder where Install_Dir is the Spectrum Spatial Analyst installation directory:

    Install_Dir\customerconfigurations\_global_\shared.properties

    For a default Spectrum Spatial Analyst installation, the properties file would be under:

    C:\Program Files\Precisely\SpectrumSpatialAnalyst\customerconfigurations\_global_\shared.properties

  3. Set the following property:
    http.firewall=defaultHttpFirewall
  4. Save your changes and close the file.
  5. Restart the Precisely AnalystConnect service to have these changes take effect. To do this, open the Windows Services Manager from:
    • The command prompt, type services.msc (or)
    • The Windows search box, type services. If your search bar isn't displaying correctly or is hidden, press and hold (or right-click) the taskbar and select Search > Show search box.

    In the Windows Services dialog, right-click Precisely AnalystConnect and select Restart.

  6. Create a new project from Analyst Project Home page.
