The JavaScript API is installed with Spectrum Technology Platform. To get started using this API, you are provided with the following:

  • Java Servlet Proxy download from http://hostname:port/managers/PlatformConfiguration/Exports/riaproxy.war
  • IIS (.NET) Proxy download from http://hostname:port/managers/PlatformConfiguration/Exports/riaProxy.zip
  • JavaScript hosted at http://hostname:port/ria/ria.js
  • JavaScript API Documentation hosted at http://hostname:port/ria/api/
Using these resources and the instructions provided in this guide, you will be able to get the proxy installed in your environment, run the examples, and start developing your own JavaScript API-based applications.
Note: To use the JavaScript API with Bing Maps, including using the examples, you will need a Bing Maps key. To register, go to the Bing Maps Account Center.
