  1. Once you have provisioned the EC2 instance and SSH’ed in with the ec2-user, this should be your starting screen:
  2. In the /opt/precisely/di directory, you should see a packages directory and sqdata symbolic link to the installed version of SQData (4.1.53 in this example).
  3. The /opt/precisely/di/packages directory should have version specific install images for SQData on z/OS and MSK Connect:
    This directory contains:
    • the agent binaries that need to be installed on the Mainframe z/OS.

    • the binaries that need to be installed in the AMI to leverage Precisely Replication custom SMTs for MSK Connect. Refer to setting up Precisely MSK connect CDC Converter.

    After successfully validating the EC2 instance derived from the AMI, proceed to the subsequent section to install the Replication Agent on your Mainframe. You will be closer to using the data replication feature of AWS Mainframe Modernization with Precisely.
