The Connect ETL Vertica load example files interface with a standard input connection and generate a native Vertica vsql command, which reads data from the connection and loads the data in parallel data streams directly to initiator nodes within the Vertica database.
The Connect ETL Vertica load example files enable the following: reuse and flexibility by allowing you to specify environment variable values based on your system configuration; direct access to the Vertica database; and enhanced optimization by bypassing the primary Vertica master director node and enabling direct communication with distributed Vertica initiator nodes.
