An address line is not limited to one beginning and ending position. If a line beginning is identified, and a word also has the following attributes defined, such as:

  • CONNECTOR (such as AND, &, OR)
  • RELATIONSHIP (such as FBO, In Trust For)
  • DBA (such as Doing Business As)
  • Comma (,)

then the line has more than one beginning and more than one ending. Examples of beginning and ending line positions are:

The physical beginning of the above lines is the first word on the line.

There may be more than one logical beginning of a line. Multiple beginning attributes in a row continues the logical beginning of a line.

Note that "John", "James" and "Thomas" are all words that would require a beginning attribute of GVN-NM1.
