You can review Grade Patterns currently in effect for the Relationship Linker or Reference Matcher at any time. The default rules are given for each country.

To review the current rules

  1. Launch the Rules Editor and move to the Field List Editor window. The rules are listed in a spreadsheet format. The columns are described below.
    Column Name Description
Description The name of the rule defined in this row. The name is referenced by the Grade Pattern Editor.
Score A –E The grade thresholds for each score you are using. These thresholds are used in conjunction with grade patterns to determine if a match passes, fails, or is suspect.
Comparison Routine The comparison routine that is used to perform the field comparison for this rule.
Propagation Routine The Linker calls this routine to perform the comparison propagation for this field.
Field Name 1 –3 The field(s) that the Relationship Linker process will evaluate for a match. Most comparison routines accept a single field.
Routine Modifier The modifier you want to apply to the comparison routine.
  2. Scroll through the table to review each rule.
  3. Optional: Change tabs and review the rules for another match level.
  4. Choose Exit from the File menu when your review is complete.
