When you change the Relationship Linker rules, you should run an error report to ensure that you did not inadvertently introduce a problem. For example, if you have a long list of patterns, it is easy to create duplicate patterns or use a duplicate pattern ID.

To run an error report

  1. Make the required changes to the Field List or Grade Patterns.
  2. Select Error Report from the Tools menu. When the routine detects an error, it displays a message describing the error and a prompt asking how you want to proceed.
  3. Review each error and make the appropriate selection when prompted.
  4. When the report is complete, you can close the error report without saving or you can save it by selecting Save from the File menu.
    Note: The Error Report checks only the current window. If you made changes to both the Field List and Grade Patterns for a match level, switch to the other window and rerun the Error Report.
