When the CDP processes records from your input file, it assigns one or more review codes to the records based on the conditions found during processing. For example, there is a review code associated with too many middle names and another associated with a gender conflict (as in Mr. Mary Smith). These review codes identify potential problem areas in your data. (Click here for a complete list of review codes.)

Once the review codes have been identified, the CDP organizes the codes into review groups. Just as there can be multiple review codes for a single record, there can be multiplereview groups. For example, the CDP might find both an unknown name pattern and an unknown street pattern. However, only a singlereview group is written to the output file.  Therefore, it is important that you organize the review groups so that the one most important to you is at the top of the hierarchy, followed in order by the second most important group, and so on. For example, by default, the first review group is "Unidentified token," which encompasses review codes for invalid token definitions, too many categories, and others. For your business needs, the most important review group might be "Foreign address," which identifies records that include a foreign address element.

Guidelines

  • If you want to analyze the output for different review groups, you can modify the Review Group Order and rerun the CDP process.
  • To exclude particular review groups from the output, place unwanted review groups after the entry "No Review Code Found," which is located at the bottom of the list by default.

To modify the review group order

  1. From the Navigation or Project View, right-click the Customer Data Parser process and select Edit Process.
  2. Select the Options tab.
  3. Click Review Group Order. The current review group order is displayed in the Review Group Order window.
  4. After reviewing the current hierarchy, decide what changes you want to make.
  5. Change the order by clicking the Move Up and Move Down buttons.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Click Finish.
