The Customer Data Parser enables you to fill up to five attributes in an output record with your choice of character. This is typically used for blanking out the sequence number field of a generated record.

To specify fill attribute options 

  1. From the Navigation or Project View, right-click Customer Data Parser and select Edit Process.
  2. Select the Options menu option.
  3. Click Advanced.
  4. Select the Fill Attributes option. The Name Generation: Fill Attributes window displays.
  5. From the drop-down list, select the attribute you want to fill in.
  6. In the with character box, enter the literal value that will be the fill character. (For example, enter 0.)
    Note: If you are using spaces or tabs, enter SPACE or TAB (without quotation marks) in the character box.
  7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 for each attribute you want to fill with a literal value.
  8. Click Back and then click Finish.
