If you want the output of the third-party program to be used as input to the next process in your workflow, you add it as a process.

To add a UDP as a process

  1. From the Navigation or Project View, select a process to indicate where you want to add the UDP.
    Note: New processes are inserted before the selected process.
  2. Right-click the process and select Insert new process. The Create Process window opens.
  3. In the Process Selection list box, select User Defined Process.
  4. Click OK. The new process is added to the project in both the Navigation and Project views.
  5. (Optional) Rename the process to something descriptive.
  6. Right-click the newly added UDP and select Edit process details. The Edit Process Details window opens.
  7. Enter a new name and description and click OK.
  8. Proceed to the topic Process Setup.
