If the output of the UDP is going to a standalone file rather than the input to another process, then you insert it into the workflow as a branch.
To add a UDP branch

From the Project View, select the icon that represents the output you want to use as the UDP’s input.

Right click and select Add process branch. The Create Process window opens.

In the Process Selection list box, select User Defined Process.

Click OK. The new process is added to the project in Project view only.

(Optional) Rename the process to something descriptive.

Right-click the newly added UDP and select Edit process details. The Edit Process Details window opens.

Enter a new name and description and click OK.
