There are two settings for Asian countries: log encoding and alternate encodings.

To specify log encoding
  1. From the Define Global Data Router inputs window, click Advanced.
  2. Select the Asia Pacific Settings tab.
  3. Select Log Encoding from the list. This is the encoding type to put out messages in the debug file.

To specify alternate encodings

You can specify the possible encoding for the input data. This is useful if the user has a database that was created from multiple suppliers, and there is a mix of encodings in that database. The Global Data Router will try each of the possible encodings when it processes the input data.

  1.  From the Define Global Data Router inputs window, click Advanced.
  2. Select the Asia Pacific Settings tab.
  3. Select Alternative Encoding from the list. If you want to try different encodings, click Add New Encoding button and select another encoding from the list.
  4. Click Back.
