The Postal Matcher process verifies and enriches address data by matching the data to the Global Address Verification (GAV) tables. In addition to the GAV tables, the Postal Matchers for Asian countries use the parser definition tables that correspond to the postal rules for a given country. You can use the AP Parser Tuner and change the postal matching rules by adding entries to the customized parser definitions tables. See About AP Parser Tuner and learn how to use the AP Parser Tuner.

Note: The Japanese Postal Matcher Address Code Edition (ACE) does not use the parser definition tables. For Japan, you can use the AP Parser Tuner only for the Customer Data Parser and Standard Postal Matcher.
