Trillium supports two categories of users, which are mutually exclusive: Windows-authenticated users and Trillium-authenticated users. The user category for your site was defined during the installation of the Repository Server and cannot be changed unless the software is uninstalled and reinstalled.
The login procedure and security levels are different for each category of user, as summarized below:
- Security. Windows-authentication enables a multi-layered system of permissions. Trillium-authentication supports only two levels.
- Login Procedure: Windows-authenticated users can access the Control Center without having to sign in; the Login window is bypassed. Trillium-authenticated users must type their Trillium user id and password in the Login window.
