If your repository contains entities that are outdated or no longer required, it is good practice to delete them.

To delete an entity

  1. Remove any connections the entity has to projects or processes:
    • Baseline Analysis. Edit the project to remove the entity you want to delete.
    • TS Quality. Remove the entity as the input to a process within a project.
    • Time Series Analysis. You delete Time Series entities from the Time Series project, unless the project has been deleted. For information, see Deleting Time Series Entities.
    • Join Projects. Edit the project to remove the entity you want to delete.
  2. Locate the entity you want to delete by doing one of the following in the Navigation View:
    • Double-click the Entities tab. The Icon View populates with a list of entities in this repository.
    • From the Entities tab, select an entity.
  3. Right-click and select Delete. If this option is grayed out, the entity is contained in a project, and must be removed from the project before you can delete it.
  4. When the confirmation box opens, click Yes.
