The Resolve process is used as part of a multi-matching project. The Resolve process takes merged files from the 2nd - Nth Relationship Linkers, and finds all indirect links and reconciles the linking relationships.

Note: You can find detailed information in the TSS Help about the Resolve Utility (Develop > TS Quality Utilities > Resolve Utility).

To set up and run the Resolve process

  1. In the project view, right-click the output of the Sort Link File process.

  2. Click Add process branch. The Create Process window opens.

  3. Select Resolve from the Process selection list, select the Configure Now check box and click OK. The Options window opens.

  4. By default, the From_Link and To_Link attributes are specified for the starting and ending link keys. The sort order is set to “Right adjust before sorting.” Those are the values we want to apply to our sample project, so no tuning is necessary.

  5. Run the process and verify that all transitivity issues are resolved. The output for the sample project is shown in the figure below.
