You can create a dynamic entity from the Data Rows List View of a real entity. You can run this procedure on any List View.

For example, it is helpful to create an entity from data rows that are joined. After you create the entity, load data into it. In this way you can generate a join on multiple entities.

To create a dynamic entity from a real entity List View

  1. On the Discover bar, click Entities. A list of all pre-defined entities opens.

  2. Right-click the real entity with which you want to work and select Drill down to rows. The Data Rows List View opens.

  3. Right-click anywhere in the List View and select Convert view to Entity. By default all rows in the view will be added to the new entity. The Create New Entity window opens.

  4. Enter a name for the new entity.

  5. Clear the Load data into new entity? selection.

  6. Click OK. The new entity displays in the Navigation View with a dynamic entity icon ( ).
