A dynamic entity is not a fully-loaded entity, but is linked to an external data source. If that data changes (for example, the existing source file is overwritten with a modified file of the same name), you can refresh the data view in the Control Center and see the updated data.

To view the contents of an updated dynamic entity source file

  1. On the Discover bar, click Entities. A list of all real and dynamic entities opens.

  2. Double-click the dynamic entity you want to refresh. The Data Rows (Dynamic) List View refreshes, showing the content of the updated source file.

  3. Re-run any entity business rules associated with the entity.

Note: When you double-click a delimited dynamic entity in a Quality project, the values that display in the List View reflect the attribute length set during the Regenerate TSQ Data procedure. If you have not set the attribute lengths, attribute values display with the default length of 1. See Modify Dynamic Entity Attribute Lengths.
