You can change the data source file for a dynamic entity if:

• the new and the old source files use the same schema

• the new and the old source files use the same data connection configured in the Repository Manager

To change a dynamic entity data source

1. On the Discover bar, click Entities. A list of all real and dynamic entities opens.

2. Click the dynamic entity whose data source has changed. The Summary Data View opens. (If this does not open, click the Metadata Summaries on the Home tab to show this view.)

3. Click Data rows with options. The Dynamic View Properties window opens.

   Note: If a message displays stating no data is available, run the following mtb_admin command: updateallconnections

4. Next to the Data source field, click Modify. The Data Selection window opens.

5. Scroll through the list of available source files and make your selection.

6. Click OK. The new data source file name populates the Data source field.

7. Click OK.
