You are able to reset the place from which the log reader last finished reading by deleting the data in the queues, re-enabling capture and restarting the request. This allows you to start from the current time rather than where the log reader last processed.

To reset the starting point, do the following:

  1. Stop any active log-based capture.

  2. Disable capture for log-based capture request. (This also stops the Oracle Change Selector.)

  3. Select the Delete Queues option (only available if you have a Replication request highlighted) in an Connect CDC monitoring and control tool, for example, Connect CDC MonCon.

  4. Enable change capture for requests.

  5. Start requests.
