Before you commit an EDMM, you can set the level of severity of the validation messages that should be overlooked. Depending upon the option you choose, the model can successfully commit even though it produces validation messages.

  1. Select the EDMM and choose Properties from the context menu.

    The Model Properties dialog displays.

  2. Select from Allow commit of models containing the level of validation messages that should be overlooked when committing a model. Select:

    • Warnings and incomplete definitions to indicate that when you commit the EDMM, the commit should continue even if warnings and incomplete-definition validation messages occur.

    • Warnings to indicate that when you commit the EDMM, the commit should continue even if warning validation messages occur. Incomplete-definition validation messages should prevent the commit from occurring.

    • Neither warnings nor incomplete definitions to indicate that when you commit the EDMM, the commit should stop if warnings or incomplete-definition validation messages occur.

  3. Click OK when you finish.
