To determine which commits have been performed, look at the Properties dialog:

  • The Model Properties dialog Model tab identifies the date/time of the model’s last full commit and last incremental commit. In addition, this tab displays the commit status of the model. While the commit setting defaults here to Allow commit of models containing: Warnings only, you can change it to Warnings and incomplete definitions or Neither warnings nor incomplete definitions.

  • If Status is Test, this EDMM has not been committed; it is either a new model or an existing committed model that has changed. File names of test EDMMs are filename.rsm.

  • If Status is Production, this EDMM has been committed; it reflects what is actually implemented in the metabase and the configuration files at each server in the EDMM. File names of production EDMMs are filename(production).rsm.

  • If Status is Archived, this model is the old production version. File names of archived EDMMs are filename(archive).rsm.

  • If Status is backup, this model is the backup version. When a model is opened it is first copied to the <modelname>(backuptemp).rsm file. If the model was read in Connect CDC Director with no issues, then the backuptemp file is renamed to backup. It is mainly to create a backup version of a model in case you want to switch back to the previous version. This is done every time the model is opened. File names of backup EDMMs are filename(backup).rsm.

  • The Server Properties dialog identifies the date and time of the server’s last full commit and last incremental commit.
