By default, when a record is opened in an editor, its linked records are automatically validated. To improve system performance, this behavior can be disabled. If it is, a Validate button will appear in the linked record table's toolbar. Clicking the button triggers validation of the linked records. If automatic linked record validation is enabled, the Validate button does not appear on the linked table's toolbar.

Automatic validation of linked records can be disabled using the Classic UI or the New UI.

To enable or disable automatic linked record validation:

Edit the shared configuration propertyrepository.editor.item.linkeditemlisting.validate:
  • 1: (Default) If this is set to 1 (one), linked records will be automatically validated.
  • 0: If this is set to 0 (zero), linked records will not be automatically validated.
