Registering a hierarchy defines which repositories you want the hierarchy to be visible
from when the repositories are opened in a Repository View.
To register a hierarchy:
- Log into the Classic UI as a user with administrative privileges.
- Open the Feature sidebar, open Model, and select Hierarchy.
- The folders holding the hierarchies are listed across the top of the Hierarchy tab. Open the folder holding the desired hierarchy and select the hierarchy.
- Open the Utilities dropdown menu and select Register.
- The Hierarchy Register will appear. It displays the profiles of all the repositories the hierarchy is linked to. The Unregistered Views displays the profiles of the repositories the hierarchy will not be visible in when the repository is opened in a Repository View. The Registered Views list displays the profiles of the repositories the hierarchy will be visible in. Select the desired profiles and use the arrow buttons to move them from one list to the other.
- Click Save.
