Libraries

Data protection reports for library objects (CRTDPRLIB procedure) automatically omit certain libraries that should not be replicated. The following libraries are not checked and do not appear in library reports on the Data Protection Reports portlet or window:
  • LAKEVIEW
  • Libraries in which Precisely products are installed, and additional related libraries associated with the installed products
  • QSYS
  • QTEMP
  • Product libraries for IBM licensed products
  • IBM libraries that do not have commonly used user profiles for IBM products, such as:
    • QDSCLI
    • QQFTEMP
    • QTIVCIT
    • QUSRDIRDB
  • Any library owned by any of the following user profiles:(The QUSRSYS and QGPL libraries are exceptions, and are not omitted if owned by a listed user profile.)
  • DB2XML
  • QBRMS
  • QCLUMGT
  • QDESADM
  • QDIRSRV
  • QDOC
  • QIJS
  • QMQM
  • QRDARS400
  • QSPL
  • QSRV
  • QSRVAGT
  • QSYS

Directories

Data protection reports for directory objects (CRTDPRDIR procedure) automatically omit certain directories that should not be replicated. The following directories are not checked and do not appear in directory reports on the Data Protection Reports portlet or window. Also, these directories are not included if they are found at the root of an independent ASP (immediately following an /<ASPNAME> directory).

Omitted directories:
  • /dev
  • /etc
  • /IBMiAccess
  • /ITALERT
  • /LAKEVIEW
  • /LAKEVIEWTECH
  • /lib
  • /VISIONSOLUTIONS
  • /QDLS
  • /QFPNWSSTG
  • /QIBM The subdirectory /QIBM/UserData and its descendants are exceptions that are not omitted.
  • /QSR
  • /QTCPTMM
  • /tmp

Folders

Data protection reports for folder objects (CRTDPRFLR procedure) automatically omit certain folders that should not be replicated. The following folders are not checked and do not appear in folder reports on the Data Protection Reports portlet or window.

The following Folders will not be checked:

  • QFOSDIA

Journals

Data protection reports for journal objects (CRTDPRJRN procedure) automatically omit certain journals that should not be replicated. The following journals (*JRN) are not checked and do not appear in journal reports on the Data Protection Reports portlet or window.

The following MIMIX journals will not be checked:
  • System Manager (MXSYSMGR)
  • License Manager (LMCFGJRN)
  • MIMIX Configuration (MXCFGJRN)
  • MIMIX Configuration (MXCFGJRN)
  • Remote journals of defined remote journal links
The following IBM supplied system journals will not be checked:
  • QAUDJRN
  • QMQMJRN
  • All journals in the QRECOVERY library
  • QDBJRNCOLM
  • QDBJRNFILE
  • QDBJRNXRFQ
  • QSQTTJRN
  • QTNJRN
