Use this procedure to check the existence and authority of steps for the selected procedure.

To check the step authority, do the following:

  1. From the Work with Procedure (WRKPROC) display, type 11=Check step authority to run a check on any procedure you want and press F4 (Prompt).
  2. Optional: You can specify the value you want for the following attributes and press Enter:
    • User profile to check authority: Determines whether or not the specified user profile has appropriate authority.
    • System to check: Determines whether the user profile is authorized on the local system where the command is run.

    The command or option will fail when any step that does not exist or does not have authority for the step program within a procedure.
