The Compare File Data (CMPFILDTA) command provides ability to compare data within members of physical files. The CMPFILDTA command can help you determine whether files are synchronized and whether your MIMIX environment is prepared for switching. You can use the CMPFILDTA command interactively or call it from a program.
Unique features of the CMPFILDTA command include active server technology and isolated data correction capability. Together, these features enable the detection and correction of file members that are not synchronized while applications and replication processes remain active. File members that are held due to an error can also be compared and repaired.
