This option requires you to manually change the MIMIXOWN user profile password and adds server authentication entries to recognize the MIMIXOWN user profile. MIMIX must be installed and transfer definitions must exist before you can make these changes.
Note: The MIMIXOWN user profile is automatically created with a password when MIMIX is
installed. You should not need to do these steps unless you are having authority issues when
building or starting RJ links or in response to the error notifications indicating the
MIMIXOWN password needs to be updated.
Use the License Manager CHGMMXPRF command to change the MIMIXOWN password and update existing authentication entries. The password is case-sensitive and must be identical across all systems in the MIMIX network to prevent security errors (LVE0127).
Updating the MIMIXOWN password
You can update the password using one of the following methods:
- Run CHGMMXPRF locally on each system by using SYSTEM(*LOCAL).
- Use SYSTEM(*INST) with the INSTLIB parameter to update across nodes of the instance.
- Explicitly specify all system hostnames or addresses with the SYSTEM parameter (recommended for multiple MIMIX environments).
